Fungi

Apart from keeping a look out for beautiful or unusual plants, flowers or trees, another interest of mine is to look for mushrooms on jungle trails. 

If you find them on your walks, admire them, photograph them if you like. Do not poke them with sticks as they are very fragile. 

Don't pluck them or eat them no matter how tempting they may look as they can be highly poisonous.

I am not an expert on fungi but if you want to read further on the subject, you could start with a concise booklet published by the Singapore Science Centre titled "A Guide to Tropical Fungi" by Dr Tan Teck Koon.
